DMCA & Takedown
How rights holders, and people shown in a video, can ask AI Tiny Desk to remove material, and how users can respond.
Last updated: 2026-10-28
AI Tiny Desk is an independent fan tool for parody videos of the Outstanding Tiny Desk meme. We respect the rights of creators and of the people who appear in videos. This page explains how to ask us to remove something and what happens next.
Who can ask for removal
- Rights holders, or someone authorized to act for them, who believe a template clip, a shared video or other material on ai-tiny-desk.com infringes their copyright.
- People shown in a video without their consent. You don't need a copyright claim for this: email us the link and say it's you. See also section 8 of our Terms of Service.
How to send a copyright takedown notice
Email support@ai-tiny-desk.com with the subject "DMCA notice" and include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name works).
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- The exact URL of each item you want removed on ai-tiny-desk.com (for example, a
/v/...share link). - Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
What happens next
We review every complete notice, usually within a few business days. When a notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the material, and where we can, we tell the user whose material was removed. We may close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.
Shared videos are private by default; only links their owner chose to share are public. Uploaded photos are deleted after 7 days and generated videos after 30 days.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you're outside the United States, any judicial district where we may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We forward valid counter-notices to the original sender. If they don't tell us within 10 business days that they've filed a court action, we may restore the material.
Please be accurate
Under U.S. law (17 U.S.C. ยง 512(f)), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for damages. If you're unsure whether something infringes your rights, consider asking a lawyer first.
